Today I choose to bask in the small joys of life.
As children, nature was often the background of our most cherished memories.
Hopscotch in the park with our friends, hide-and-go-seek in the woods, or maybe camping trip with family.
As adults, however, we tend to see nature as a vehicle for contemplation and personal transformation.
It's important to remember though that it can also be a place to embrace play, fun, and creativity.
As you walk today, consider your earliest experiences with the outdoors.
What are your memories of enjoying yourself in the natural world?
How can you bring youthful joy to your adult experiences in nature?
So hope this inspires you to
Cultivate the child within, that playfulness, because through the eyes of a child there's this vast openness and acceptance and curiosity that we tend to forget as we age.
Nothing ever is; nothing ever can be, since the very instant it seems to be, it’s gone. This is truly hilarious. Anyone who gets the joke has the right to laugh that wonderful, whole-body, belly-shaking laugh.
Byron Katie
No need to be serious
Be present and engaged but not too serious, this universe is being made out of fun and spontaneity. There's a phrase I think from Alan Watts that goes “Man suffers only because he takes seriously what the gods made out of fun”.
Terence McKenna on the other hand introduced the concept of the "cosmic giggle," a profound encounter where the universe's inherent love engulfs you in a delightful surge of synchronicity.
McKenna suggests actively inviting and embracing these moments by momentarily detaching from your preoccupations and allowing your mind to release its rigid beliefs.
Maybe from taking a step back from time to time Embrace life with the curiosity of a wide-eyed explorer, eagerly seeking out anything that ignites your imagination or merely observing yourself as a human being, a biological organisms, an engaged contributor or just an entity being rebirthed and renewed as you breathe. Deepak Chopra said;
“In fact, there are studies – mathematical calculations – that can show without a shadow of doubt that right this moment, you might have a million atoms that were once in the body of Jesus Christ, or Buddha, or Genghis Khan, or anyone else you want to think about. In just the last three weeks, a quadrillion atoms have gone through your body that have gone through the body of every other living species on this planet.
So think of a tree in Africa, a squirrel in Siberia, a peasant in China, you have stuff in your body, which is actually non-stuff, that was there only three weeks ago. None of the atoms in your body are the ones that you were born with. None. They were manufactured in the crucible of stars, and in fact the atoms in this hand and the atoms here may have come from different stars. The carbon, the hydrogen, the oxygen that is right now circulating in your body is not even a material entity; it’s a process.

Engage in playful acts
Like donning vibrant red attire, meditating beside a bubbling fountain, or playfully tossing a vegan doughnut into the water while expressing your deepest desire to make a positive impact on the world. This approach can be practiced at any given moment, and if the term "cosmic giggle" doesn't resonate with you, feel free to create your own alternative, such as "karmic hiccup," "universal euphoria," "infinite belly-laugh." or simply “shaking things up; why not, this moment is only lived right now so why not try something new for tomorrow is not always guaranteed.
An easy way to start is to skip your way with a smile as you cross the street.
So may this inspiration be with you all throughout the day, the lightness of being, the non seriousness of most things, and the magic that unfolds moment to moment.
