Hello there friend,
Hope you are doing well wherever you maybe.
May today bring forth relaxation in all the task you choose to embark. We can easily do this by being more intentional in each segment of the day.
Affirm the purpose behind each act, making it an offering instead of a dreaded obligation.
Each thing we need to do that is presented in front of us that needs our immediate participation is an opportunity to contribute to the ever unfolding of the whole.
I have been whispering this in my head on repeat as I took showers, played shows; which involved rehearsing, hauling of equipment, coordinating with other people, showing up, waiting in the heat and so on.
Each task was intended as an offering to the opportunity to contribute. We can easily lean towards what is convenient and easy but where is the “life” in that?
May we face obstacles and challenges in a high spirited manner. Imagine your pure mission that is to serve the highest good.
Relax into it, it is a more sustainable way of being. Each breath, an offering, house hold chores, administering bills, tending the garden, listening and being there for your few co creators.

Motivation and sudden bursts of push wears you out. It maybe good for emergencies but the body can’t run on full optimal effectiveness when it is pumped by stress hormones like cortisol.
Relax into the task by phrasing it out like; I’m totally relaxed from this segment of waking up to embodying the fullness of my gradual becoming.
Resistance to the task makes it bigger than what it really is. The mind can be creative like that. Nothing is really that big of a deal once we start engaging on a certain task.
Instead of blowing things out of proportion with our preconceived notions, we can relax and lean in with faith and trust that all is harmoniously just happening.
Relax into simplicity. Everything is divinely simple but our brains are addicted to complexity. Look into the present moment and realize that there is just this, and it is actually pretty safe and complete.
All pain and suffering are either remembered or anticipated, but the reality is we are just here doing life, being now.
Fight or flight is what got us surviving from the harshness of nature but this feature of the mind taxes the nervous system and shuts out the healing parts of it. It uses all of its might for survival, it was useful when we lived in the wild, but now you are safe, no cheetah chasing you.
But our biology doesn’t recognize the difference between an imaginary wild animal and a real one. It uses up your energy if you are tense and always anticipating danger.
Relax into safety, harmony and in knowing that you’ll know how to be in any situation that might appear in front of you. Know that they are mostly reflections of yourself.
There is no need to avoid and run away from the parts of you reflected in your external world.
A better approach would be to look closely, question its value and reality and further move towards the highest good in accord with the natural evolution of everything and being.
In yoga, I arrive at every pose with a sense of relaxation. Thinking about opinions on how many poses are left to be done and the way my practice is better yesterday and should be tomorrow brings us out of the present.
Always revert back to center. I bring my attention to the breath, the spine, the cosmos, the cell, the energy in between quarks.
Relax in every task means a gentle courageous showing up for something bigger than our petty preferences. This week I have relaxed into music festivals, putting out remixes, household chores, walking, exercise, pool parties, working on the foodblog and a recital of a niece.
