A Gentle Check-In
Let's begin with presence. How's the breath right now? How's the mind? How's your perception of this very moment?
Take a moment to notice how you're looking at your life, your environment, yourself. Do you see yourself as someone who is in charge? Someone capable of audacious things? Someone who can make dreams real?
The Hazy Wave State of Possibility
Everything exists in what we might call the "hazy wave state"—in the ether, in the air, in the unseen spiritual realm. Through the mind, we receive information and insights. The thoughts of past masters are all there, waiting.
When we tune in deliberately, when we become receptors of wisdom, we can easily receive insights that match our spirit. This is where you hear the call of your deeper self. This is where your mission, your calling, your purpose reveals itself.
Sit still. Make time for reflection on what truly matters to you. Only then will you know how to design your day.
In designing your day, you design your life.
The Mystery of Flourishing
We're all given equal hours, yet some people flourish while others merely survive. This has always fascinated me. We're all human—we all have limbs, brains, senses. So why do some people create extraordinary things while others struggle?
The answer lies in alignment. Where are you in your life right now? Is it completely fulfilling?
Are your patterns reflecting the truth of who you are? Will today be maximized to its fullest possibility?
Meeting Your Edge
When we stretch toward our farthest possibility, we meet our edge. And at that edge, we encounter discomfort, perhaps embarrassment, certainly failure. Many things won't work when you first try them.
Try a kickflip or an ollie for the first time—it's going to be challenging. You won't even make the wheels lift off the ground. Try a standing bow pose, and it will be far from perfect compared to those who've practiced for years.
But here's the question: What is it within you that is called to become masterful? That your curiosity keeps you excited, that practice is done for its own sake?
The Power of Imagination
In your mind's eye, you can design the ideal person you desire to become. Through that vision, energetic feelings arise in your gut and brain. You'll be pulled toward making that reality manifest—bringing the hazy wave into matter, transforming imagination into reality.
Everything was once imagined. We are created in the image of that which created all, and we are all creators with connection to divine power.
Setting Aside Human Problems
If you're feeling constricted, restricted, or limited, change things around. Find what brings you freedom. Sit still and connect to that divine power within you.
Everything is figureoutable. Everything has a solution. Everything happens for the highest good of all. You have the power to design your life in alignment to this truth.
Get out of your own way and allow the naturalness and essence of your self to bloom.
The Art of Adjustment
Watch the areas of your life mindfully: relationships, spirituality, mentality, business. Where can you adjust the levers? Where will you increase intensity? Where will you allocate more time?
Use tools like SMART goals—specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound. Within weeks, you can measure the inputs you're creating for your life.
Right Motivation
Before starting anything, ensure you're doing it for the right reason. You're doing it because it's a blessing in itself, because it's a gift. You're aiming at the highest possible good because it's your honor to do so.
You're not doing it to get something—you're doing it because it's the natural expression of who you are.
What you are can be fanned like a flame through:
Consistent affirmations of truth
Rewiring the subconscious mind
Releasing past programming
Yogic practices
Deep breathing
Mindful walking
Trying something audacious
The Practice of Not Knowing
Sometimes people say they don't know what they want. That's actually perfect—knowing that you don't know is wisdom.
Sit with these questions: What brings you life? What is love to you? What are you searching for?
Write down ten things you desire. It doesn't matter if they change. There are no wrong answers.
Your Future Self
My favorite practice is connecting with your five-year-future self. From that reality, what would they say to you right now? Perhaps they'd congratulate you, or tell you not to be too hard on yourself.
The power is always in the present moment—the power to choose. Are you going towards your ideal or farther away?
True Joy vs. Shallow Pleasure
True joy isn't found in momentary pleasures of the mammalian brain. Real joy emerges from the pursuit of something great—not in finishing it, not in attaining the goal, but in the journey itself.
We're built not for arriving; we're built for going.
Tapping Into Universal Wisdom
Everything that has been thought can be accessed. You can tap into the wisdom of Steve Jobs, Paramahansa Yogananda, Einstein, Tesla—all is available.
Here's a fascinating fact: It's mathematically provable that you contain atoms that were once in the body of every person who ever lived. With each breath, particles exchange between us. We are literally breathing as one.
Activating Your Higher Mind
Harness the power of your cortex, not just your limbic system. When your nervous system stays in fight-or-flight mode, it produces cortisol and stress hormones that aren't healing.
Activate your vagus nerve by relaxing intentionally. Know that all is well. Everything happens for a reason. Everything resolves itself, with or without your participation.
Freedom from Others' Opinions
Set aside your ego for a while. Nobody's really thinking about you as much as you imagine. What matters is adding value to the world, helping others light up and lift up.
When you're not worried about what others think, you're free to experiment. A whole world opens up—everything becomes possible.
The Technology of Spirit
Use the technology at your fingertips, but remember there's something even better: the technology of spirit. The same force that grows your nails, enables your eyes to receive light, grows trees, creates storms, and expands the universe.
Move with this force. It's only our preferences that create suffering.
Physical and Mental Flexibility
Unclench your jaw. Relax your hips. Relax the grip of your hands. Stretch your body—backward bending, sideward bending. Stretch into realities you never knew existed.
Hold your opinions loosely but strongly. Be willing to be proven wrong while remaining strong in your resolve. Be open to learning—this is the only way to flourish.
Daily Application
How will you apply this in your life today? In your next hour?
Reach for the next best feeling thought
Be willing to undergo the pain of learning
Delay gratification
Cast a vote for the person you intend to become
Create spaciousness through breath. When you receive anything, allow three breaths before responding. Your limbic brain casts the first opinion—be mindful of criticism.
Your Triggers Are Your Treasures
Watch what triggers you—these are your teachers. Why do you emotionally eat? Why don't you feel safe sitting still? Shine awareness on your shadow, and you'll no longer be enslaved by it.
Focus on Understanding
Ask not for answers, but for understanding. This is a more peaceful way to move through life. Focus your energy on things bigger than yourself—it's humbling and transformative.
The Point of Life: Expansion
Face your day laser-focused on your mission. The things that seem overwhelming are usually no big deal once you engage with them. You'll learn, gather data, see cause and effect. New vantage points will emerge, and you'll dream again.
This is the point of life: expansion.
A Simple Practice
Take a walk today. Visit your local café. Compliment the barista's hat. Give a smile. Sometimes that's all we can do, and sometimes it makes someone's entire day.
If you're ready to design a life of deeper meaning and authentic success, I invite you to explore working together. In our discovery calls, we often uncover possibilities that people were shy to even imagine for themselves. Sometimes the most profound transformation begins with simply admitting we don't know—and then sitting together in that beautiful space of not knowing, until clarity emerges.
Namaste.
